Dispelling the Ray Charles "Only One Country Album" Myth
Переглядів 2204 місяці тому
Country Music Hall of Famer Ray Charles is commonly only given credit for releasing one country album, 1962's "Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music." Since the Kennedy Administration and for going on seven decades since, Mick, Keith, Charlie, Bill, and later Ronnie have been defining what rock and roll music is at its kernel root. Why is a country music outlet even talking about The Rolling Stones? If you don't think albums like Let It Bleed and Exile on Main St., and songs like "Dead Flowers" and "Sway" haven't been as significantly influen...

I was working in Weltch West Virginia and I only had one CD and it was the best of Jimmy Martin. This is my favorite song and I listened to it everyday for about 6 months. Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. I'm trusting in nothing but the blood of Jesus to pay for my sins to keep me out of hell. The god of this world is the devil and controls ALL politics and religion especially the Catholic Church as counterfeit Christianity. 9 out of 10 Christians don't even know the gospel is 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4. Nothing but the blood of Jesus is the best song in the whole world. Religion is something you do in hopes of earning salvation. Actual salvation is trusting in what Jesus did for you to pay for your sins. Have a good one, peace

First, allow me to express my condolences to Jo-El's family, friends and fans. I only learned today he had passed earlier this year. Now, it's confession time. I first heard the LP "Cajun Life" one afternoon in the Cat's Eye Pub on Baltimore's waterfront back in 1987. I hated it. In fact, at the time, I hated everything Cajun. But, it wasn't because of his music and I will explain. I and many of my co-workers on the Baltimore tugboats were going thru a labor dispute. A strike to be exact. We struck and were replaced by a lot of Cajuns and mariners from down south. There was a lot of hostility to be quite honest. In time, as I matured and my music interests became more diverse. I learned to love this record and became a big fan of Sonnier's. Unfortunately, I never got to see him perform live, but rest assured, "Cajun Life" was regularly played. Loud too. I hope I am forgiven for this, as I was an idealistic young man. Rest in Peace, Jo-El. "Come on everybody, sing along with me..."

Hank Sr was a dog, that man got around, Butch wasn't the only illegitimate child he had or may have had (case in point, Jett). Ricky looks just like Jr and sounds like him too. Ricky seems to be doing more with the Hank moniker than Coleman, his music is solid and traditional, Coleman's is not really. Coleman didn't even really want any part of the musical namesake anyway until like a year ago lol, until he was literally 30 years old. Ricky is definitely related one way or the other, whether he's Hank's direct great grandson or merely the great grandson of his cousin. It's not up for debate whether he's tied into the Williams lineage and to deny that is asinine.

I'd like to say, it's not how he passed, but what he did for country music, his voice. The wonderful songs i fell in love with. That's how i chose to Remember KeithWhitley Sure his death was sad but think of all he gave us in the short time he was here on earth.we are still playing his music, still loving his voice, that handsome face.i look at it this way, sometimes we are sent a angel to touch our lives, teach us a lesson, leave a mark in this world. I think Keith did that. I was young but when i heard his voice i went wow, he's special, he's going to be huge, he's going to make a huge impact in country music. He was indeed one of a kind. Now i look back think, what if he not been born, we would of heard all the great music, that wonderful voice. He was a Sweet Innocent Soul, that left a Huge mark in Country Music.. maybe he was not meant to be here long, so I'm not asking God Why. But i say Thank you Father God of most High.you sent us a Angel to give us some Beautiful Songs. Only you know why. So who am i to question you. Hence we are still talking about him still listening to his music. That's a Testiment of God Goodness. I'm sure you had a reason. So it's not how long he lived or how he died, but the fact he lived and left a one of a kind Legacy. Maybe he came to do what you sent him to do. His son is part of that Legacy. Out of all the Bad things I've heard. There's so many Good things he did. How he influenced so many after him. So his life was not a Bad thing. Though we see it as he was only here for a little while, look at what he did, the people he touched. That voice, the wonderful songs, the love that created a son, yes we know more now that he has passed. So we have all learned something. Ok he wasn't perfect, he made mistakes, but don't we all. We live and learn. I'm Greatful for what he left, the mark he made. It's not ours to Ask Why, but to say Thank You, for there being a Keith Whitely. 🙏 to Keith i say Thank You, you did make a difference. You left a Legacy that is very much Apperciated. You was one of a kind. Rest in Eternal Peace Keith. Whitely, you are not, nor will you ever be forgotten. 🕯💕💫✨🦋🌻💖. Love,Respect and Positivity Always. I'm still a fan. Neita james. 💖👣.
